With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.

Responsibilities

As the Nursing Manager for our Leon S. Peter’s Burn Center you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with a team of 45 while directing, supervising, and evaluating patient care. You should be a knowledgeable problem solver with exceptional communication skills that pays meticulous attention to detail and collaborates with multiple departments and leaders within the organization.

This 10-bed center is the only around-the-clock Level I and ABA Verified Burn Center between Sacramento and LA. The range of care in this unit ranges from moderate to high acuity, including pediatric and adult trauma patients, mild scald burn and skin graft patients, and more. As part of this collaborative team and through evidence-based practice, you will be key to the continuum of care of Valley patients.

Qualifications

Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR other healthcare related Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience
• Demonstrated expertise in the service area and leadership ability required
• 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required
• Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting required
Licenses and Certifications
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (for NICU only) required
• PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support Certification (for Pediatrics and PICU only) required
• NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role (if qualifying with this option for Pediatric ICU and NICU) required
