Monitor Tech PD ICU Stepdown

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for monitoring heart rhythm patterns to detect, record, and report normal and abnormal heart rhythm patterns, normal and abnormal ECG interval measurement, and proper and improper pacemaker or implantable defibrillator function utilizing equipment. This position is also responsible for admitting and discharging patients, answering telephone calls, and processing physician orders.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

MINIMUM REQUIRED: High School diploma/GED. Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Recognition course and Current CPR card.

PREFERRED: At least one year of Unit Clerk experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIRED: N/A

PREFERRED: Monitor Technician certification.
